This project is a DIY, touch-activated keyboard sequencer inspired by the classic Serge TKB. It uses capacitive touch plates to generate control voltages and gates, allowing it to function as both a performance keyboard and a step sequencer. Designed with a focus on hands-on interaction and patch programmability, the module emphasizes expressive control rather than fixed sequencing, making it well suited for experimental and modular synthesis systems.
TKB DIY version comes in 3 options
OG KIT - PANEL / CIRCUIT PCB. The OG kit is sold as a hand wired project like the original TKB's.
STANDARD KIT - PANEL / CIRCUIT PCB / POT PCB / LED MOD PCB. Standard kit is a simple kit designed to source your own ribbon & molex cables or to purchase them separately.
DELUXE KIT - PANEL / CIRCUIT PCB / POT PCB / LED MOD PCB / RIBBON CABLES / MOLEX CABLES / MM74C150N IC. Deluxe kit comes with color coded molex cables & color coded ribbon cables. 2.5mm Touch Plate mounting screws included!
If LED MOD PCB is ordered you will need to delete the CD4051 IC in the CIRCUIT BOM.
MM74C150N socket is included in the CIRCUIT BOM.
